Overview

IST Management is actively seeking a Front Desk/Receptionist to join our team in Medford, MA! Ideal candidates will have prior experience in a professional office setting, possess excellent communication abilities, are well versed in customer service and/or hospitality services, and are ready to take advantage of internal opportunities at IST Management for training and development toward advancement into management roles. This role will be responsible for fostering a professional and pleasant working environment by providing excellent customer service in the fields of general office services, hospitality, reception and facilities coordination. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Schedule: Monday- Friday 

Hourly Compensation: $19.50 to $19.75

Responsibilities

The Front Desk/Receptionist is responsible for providing superior hospitality and reception services in addition to general administrative support, to include:

  • Professional and friendly customer service; verbal and written interaction with internal and external clients
  • Greet clients and visitors, create security badges, direct phone calls to appropriate personnel
  • Conference Room Management (booking and reception services, setting up/breakdowns for meetings, catering assistance, other related tasks as needed)
  • Mailroom services, shipping and receiving, light facilities services including vendor management
  • Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines; take direction from supervisor
  • Participate in cross-training; Maintain all logs and reporting documentation; high attention to detail
  • Adhere to all safety procedures; perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have the ability to confidently interact with clients and visitors, possess excellent communication abilities, and are ready to grow in their professional hospitality and office services career. Prior experience in a reception or administrative role is a huge plus! Additional qualifications include:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED required; authorization to work for any employer in the US required 
  • Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency required and may be tested; Familiarity with MS Teams
  • Possess prior hospitality or customer service experience
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment; willingness to cross-train for other job functions
  • Ability to meet employer's attendance policy

Physical Requirements Include:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion/as needed
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
