Copy Print Service Specialist – Baltimore, MD (FT)

 

IST Management Services is sourcing for a direct hire, permanent, full-time, copy-print service specialist position in Baltimore, MD. This position will work full time hours per day in a print production environment.

 

IST is a rapidly growing business process outsourcing (BPO) company and the largest American privately-owned facilities management company. This is a full time direct hire position handling package services and mail services as well as supervision of our on-site team. We observe a business professional dress code. Hours: Monday through Friday,8:00am to 5:00pm (need flexibility to cover later shift when needed)

 

Compensation: While the compensation for this position is finally dependent upon the candidate’s experience/qualifications, the approximate compensation for this position will be $24.00 to $25.00 to be paid hourly.

 

NOTE: This position requires at least 2 years experience in heavy volume copy - print production

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Operate and maintain digital print equipment in order to produce a wide variety of print jobs; Operate a PC utilizing both CREO and Fiery input/imposition software
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain the highest standards of quality production; Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Be familiar with the operation of a Duplo 645 or similar score/ slit/ cut machine; Operate drilling, padding, and folding machines; Experience in sign printing operations and/or related fields
  • Operate multiple types of printing equipment including UV flatbed technology (Xante X33) and roll-fed wide format printers both latex (HP 335) and aqueous (HP DesignJet Z9)
  • Have experience setting up and operating a roll laminator; Download customer files, make equipment and computer interface adjustments required to run various sizes, weights of paper stock, and impose layout structure
  • Perform layout/job set up to assure cost-effective utilization of equipment; Place equipment service calls and interact with service providers
  • Meet productivity and quality standards established by management; Hand-write work tickets for delivery & billing purposes
  • Understand schedule of work as well as the importance of a production mindset; Rigorously follow standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate pro-actively with team members to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently, ensuring all production deadlines are met
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized work environment, adhering to best practices for workplace safety and efficiency; Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and coworkers

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Two years experience in heavy volume copy - print production operations
  • Color and B&W copy/wide format/binding/folding equipment experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and familiarity with computer basics is preferred; Ability to communicate both verbally and written with customers and other employees both one-on-one and during meetings
  • Must have attention to detail and critically think through and resolve problems; Must have customer service skills and be able to maintain a consistent, high level of service; Must have the ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities
  • A valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation to and from work
  • Lifting up to 55 pounds; standing for long periods of time; significant walking; Willingness to cross-train for other job functions
