Overview

The Opportunity: IST is looking for friendly, service-oriented, experienced, customer-focused Shipping and Receiving associate to work full time Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. The candidate must have experience in shipping and receiving processes and handling all incoming mail, FedEx, UPS packages at our corporate office. Must be able to lift 45lbs on occation.

 

We offer professional training, skill enhancement and opportunities to advance toward supervisor, assistant manager and site manager positions.

 

Location: Research Triangle Park, NC


WEEKLY HOURS: Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm - NO WEEKENDS AND PAID HOLIDAYS - 2 WEEKS PAID VACATION

Compensation: $18.00 - $18.00hr with annual bonus and raise

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities: 

  • Have experience in Shipping and Receiving Center or working in mail center and using a held-hand scanner
  • Experience in mail distribution of internal mail to ensure its accurately processed
  • Experience printing out shipping labels/processing of overnight and accountable packages
  • Excellent communication skills  -writing and oral
  • Experience with mail postage machine is a huge plus
  • Must be able to lift 45lbs on occasion
  • Maintain effective written and oral communications with clients and employees
  • Prioritize work each day to ensure customer needs are met in regards to on-time delivery of services and quality of work
  • Ensures the proper and safe use of all equipment used by employees

Qualifications

Ideal Shipping and receiving associate candidates will have experience in shipping and receiving, and high-end customer service skills. Be reliable/dependable and attain excellent attendance and have experience operating mail equipment and general office equipment. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Experience shipping out packages via UPS, FedEx and printing labels
  • Experience operating mail postage machine and printing out labels 
  • Experience scanning all packages as they come into the office each day and deliver them promptly
  • Have excellent attendance and be reliable and dependable - Team player
  • Maintain office to ensure areas are clean and neat; Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude
  • Have excellent email writing skills as strong communication skills
  • Must be able to lift 45lbs on occasion.
  • Must have valid DL and reliable car
